For Gloria’s Latin Cuisine, Hispanic heritage isn’t something we celebrate for just one month. It’s part of who we are, how we began and what has shaped our restaurants for the past 40 years.

In 1986, Gloria and Jose Fuentes opened their first restaurant in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas with a simple idea: share the Salvadoran food and hospitality they knew and loved, while creating a place where family, friends and neighbors could gather around the table. Four decades later, that family story has grown into 23 restaurants across Texas.

This Hispanic Heritage Month feels especially meaningful as we celebrate our 40th Anniversary and the journey of our family. The recipes, traditions and spirit that inspired Gloria’s from the beginning can still be found throughout our menu today, from our Pupusas and Salvadoran Tamales to Carne Asada, our signature Black Bean Dip and the flavors that have become part of so many family meals, celebrations and nights out over the years.

Forty years is a milestone, but it’s also a reminder of where we came from. We’re proud to celebrate our family, our Salvadoran roots, and the generations of team members who have helped carry that story forward and the guests who have welcomed us into their own traditions.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the heritage that started our story and continues to inspire what comes next.
